Description

Pachisi is a classic race game for two to four players. The first player to move their four colored game pieces from the starting position in the corner of the board to the home square in the center of the board, completing a loop around the board to the finish area in the middle that matches their color wins the game. Players roll dice on their turns to determine how many spaces they can move their game pieces, but there are a few challenges that can emerge along the way. Because no player can land on or pass a space occupied by another player, blocking can be used to hold up a game piece indefinitely until the other player moves their piece. Alternatively, a player's pawn can be sent back to either start if another player passes or lands on a space occupied by that player. Once any pawn has advanced to one of the five color spaces leading up to finish it cannot be sent back, but exact die counts must be rolled to move pawns to the finish spaces. For 2-4 players with a 30-minute playtime.
