My daughter (4 years old) is thoroughly enjoying her Judy clock. She was so excited to show daddy how she learned to tell time to the hour. I like the booklet that is included - it gives some great ideas on how to use the clock as a teaching tool. This is also a great supplement to Total Math PK, which has a section on clocks and time. This is great for the hands-on learner.

Where does our Judy Clock belong? Not with the math manipulatives or school supplies, but with our kitchen toys! Why? Firstly, because the kids aren't going to break it. It is super sturdy and can stand to be dropped and fiddled with. (We've had ours for 3 or 4 years.) Secondly, because there are no small pieces that can get lost or choke the baby. And lastly, because the kids love to use it! Sometimes they come into my kitchen to set the time correctly and sometimes they change the time of day and serve their own meals accordingly! I have to admit, it is fun to play with. I even enjoy giving the minute hand a whirl and watching the hour hand move on its own! It's a great hands on tool/toy for teaching about time!
