Great!!I have 9 children and I used this with all of them except for 2 of them and I wish I would have. I believe it would of helped them more than what I used. Using the time test helped them to learn their tables better and quicker. I recommend this to start out with in math. Was this review helpful? Yes (0) No (0)

The Best Math. PeriodWe've used Saxon for each of our 5 children and find it a thorough, rugged process that results in fantastic skills when used as written and in total. We love it. Was this review helpful? Yes (0) No (0)

We love SaxonWe love Saxon math. It is no nonsense. The teachers guide is scripted and the workbooks are set up to be straight forward. They introduce topics then review them periodically throughout for reinforcement. Was this review helpful? Yes (0) No (0)

SaxonI just started this set and love it...I just wish the meeting book came with it. It's an easy to use program we used it last year for our older daughter and she loved it. We didn't use the meeting book last year and that was a headache. If your new to Saxon make sure you get the meeting book!! JS Was this review helpful? Yes (0) No (0)

Drill and killI hear great things, but this is not for us. It is drill and kill math. Barely any application or critical thinking here. Way too many problems. My children are very ahead in math but my 1st grader thought the 3rd grade stuff was way to easy. I didn't even want to go back and check it. We have gone to Singapore it is a much better fit. The material is a bit dry at times and very repetative, BUT with the addition of some visual charts and adding the Kindle with Anki as his flashcard review, we have found the overall content and method to be effective in many ways.
