Fun yet in-depth
Beast Academy offers further and in-depth explanation and exploration of the materials beyond the usual simple rule teaching of basic math concepts. This prepares students well for better understanding and appreciation of math, and for higher level math.

Interesting, fun, and challenging
We discovered BA this year and SO glad we did! It is by far my kids' favorite math. I use a mix of a standard text, math mammoth, and BA. For those who don't know BA, it is not at all consistent with common core...not in sequence, not in strategies, and certainly not in depth. BA goes much, much deeper into topics. The fun thing about it is not just the cartoons, but the math itself. Conventional math programs teach kids how to do something. BA teaches them how to do it, but then gives them all kinds of different ways to play with the concept. Not only do they learn how to do something, they get to use that skill in many different ways. The workbooks provide many different levels of practice- we certainly do not do all of the pages.
This is not an easy program. Even the level 4 workbooks are more challenging at times than the 5th grade MacGraw Hill text we use. But that is because it makes them actually think. They have to understand the topics well enough in order to apply them to the many varied types of problems. My boys do not get bored with BA. I only wish I had discovered it sooner!

I heard the good comments about these series. My kid also read the samples from the books and like the way math concepts have been illustrated .
