Publisher misleading info
While I think the ideas and research behind this program are exactly what I'm looking for, I believe the description of this being a homeschool bundle is quite misleading. Publisher customer service for a homeschool parent is extremely poor. The contracted customer service providers are very limited on the solutions they can offer. Though some were kind and helpful, they could not solve my problem nor could they take it to any other level within the company to try to solve the problem. I've tried multiple times to resolve my issue by phone and email . My issue specifically is that each lesson references the use of another book of rhymes by Pearson for each level, as well as a separate library of books for each level that specifically ties to the lesson objective for that week. I wanted to see if they would offer these lists and titles to me as a package for the level I purchased without having to search through their online catalog lists and find each ISBN, which, so far, looks like an additional expense of around $440.00. My goal in purchasing this curriculum was to limit additional time searching for reading materials to go along with the lesson. Though the teacher resource guide in the homeschool bundle states these other materials are available, they are not easily purchased nor are they affordable, especially in comparison to the cost of the homeschool bundle. Should I choose to purchase these titles I would need to find each in the Pearson online catalog, which for me is 36 different titles for each of the two levels I'm teaching. Might I add they're on random lists throughout the catalog. You only have a representative to assist you if you are a public school. I'm hopeful Pearson will recognize the misrepresentation of this bundle and correct the error. I also hope they will at least make some attempt to respond to my concerns. For now, Pearson has shown little evidence to me they care about the issue at all.

It is research-based and developmentally appropriate for kindergarten age children

I chose this because I have seen it in action. I worked as a classroom aide for one year. This program allows children to learn at their pace and allows for differentiation. I am excited to be teaching it to my own daughter.

I have used this program in the classroom as a primary teacher and wanted to use it again in the homeschool setting with my own children. This bundle takes the extra work of planning out of each lesson for me (as opposed to using the teachers' guide that I used in the classroom) so I can balance being teacher and mom! Every little bit helps!

What comes in this bundle?

BEST ANSWER: It should also be noted this bundle is incomplete according to its design. Each lesson references use of Pearson's Big Book of Rhymes as well as a book from their library that focuses on the week's objective. If you were looking to spend an additional $200 or so for those resources this bundle might interest you. Of course, you can go to the library and find reading materials to go along with your weekly objectives. You should just know ahead of time that work and extra time will be required of you.
