Not for us.
I wish more speeches and poetry were in included. It’s mostly scripture and hymns- which is great, if that’s what you’re looking for. There was some good stuff in there, but it didn’t work for us.

Has everything
I have been eyeing Classical Conversations for years but it's cost is hard to swallow. I had decided I could implement many of the principles of CC on my own but had trouble with the memorization part. It's overwhelming to come up with a variety of things on your own and the foundations book is a big cost even used. Looking for some sort of substitute I stumbled across this book recommended on another blog. It is wonderful. It starts out with information on why memorization is an important part of a child's education and tips on how to implement it. The meat of the book is divided into subjects filled with all sorts of things to get you started with memorization. Anyone can use this resource in their homeschool it has everything to get you started with it.

Thiis looks like it has plenty of good memory work for many subjects including english grammar for latin students. I chose it over memorial press's workbook and TM to save money.

Even though I have a few years to go yet before homeschooling *formally* begins, I purchased this book because I am intent upon making memory work a foundational part of our home school. Great educators from the late Dr. John Senior to IEW's Andrew Pudewa have convinced me that furnishing my children's minds with the True, Good, and Beautiful is my most important mission as teacher of my children. This book looks to be an ideal resource for building their memories and nourishing their hearts.

We wanted more memory work. We've done Classical Conversations for three years.

I chose this product because I am looking to add to our memory work. We have already finished all 3 cycles of Classical Conversations.

I want a mixture of memory work to use. Not solely poetry or Bible verses.

Is it very different from the CC guide? I am hoping it doesn't have much overlap.
A shopper on Nov 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There are 48 pages of Latin including proverbs, poems, prose, scripture, prayers, and hymns. Followed by 21 pages of Greek. Some of the math is similar, but it includes geometry and common fractions expressed as decimals. It goes in depth on each of the 8 parts of speech and includes 100 commonly misspelled words. It has a whole section on literature and another religion selection. The geography section contains capitals as well as countries. It contains world history and U.S. history including folk songs. Science is similar, but not exact. I would say there is some overlap, but generally much more information and much you won't get from the CC guide.
