Great idea
My son can diagram a sentence with his eyes closed which became quite boring. This takes it to another level.
Highly recommend this book.

I purchased this book because I believe actual editing teaches parts of speech better than typical lessons

My son scored very high on a standardized test in the grammar section after 3 books. I was very surprised since he is not an academically driven student and typically scores lower than average on standardized tests.

Do the Fix It! Books have to be completed in order?
A shopper on Aug 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If you go on IEW's website, it tells you what grades the books cover. Books 1 and 2 are for Writing Intensive A (grade 3-6); Books 3 and 4 are for Writing Intensive B (Grade 7-9) and 5 and 6 are for Writing Intensive C (Grade 10-12). All the writing intensives cover the same material, just for different age groups. I did try to have my teens do Book 5 last year, but it was too hard to jump in in the middle, so yes, I recommend doing the books in order. If they already know the material, they can review. Books 1and 2 explain a lot more than Books 4, 5 and 6
