Love books, kids didn't like the music
My kids didn't like the songs, so we don't use the CD. The book and workbook is great summary info about the subjects. Each subject (birds for example) has a one page song with lots of info, then 2-3 pages of textbook summary info and
matching worksheets. I use it as a supplement to our science curriculum (Sonlight D) - it fits very nicely. I have them fill out the song lyrics as an introduction, then they do the other curriculum for a unit, and I have them read the LLS book and do the workbook pages as a conclusion/summary. No colorful pictures like our other curriculum, but it is a nice summary. I bought the volume set for Vol 1, but since we don't use the CD, I will buy the book and workbooks separately for Vol 2.

Is this curriculum written from a Christian viewpoint or does it contain religious context?
A shopper on Feb 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The material skirts religious and evolutionary issues. I believe this is why it is so popular among homeschoolers. There is one part, in Volume 3 I think, that says, "For this life is a mystery that we live, that our bodies produce life to give our genes and our dreams to the children yet unborn, to continue life's cycle again." That is just from memory. It's the closest I remember the songs coming to any sort of philosophy.
