Category Description for Playground Balls:

You may be just a regular ol homeschooling family, but that doesnt mean you cant have a cool set of playground balls just like your local schools. These sturdy, latex-free balls are 8 ½" when inflated, and have a thick, textured, rubbery surface. We like them because theyre available in every color of the rainbow. Use them for all kinds of outdoor activities and games, even as basketballs or volleyballs for informal games in the yard. Balls ship uninflated; you can inflate them with an air compressor or bicycle pump. Add some pizzazz to your P.E.! Jess

My 8 yo and I really enjoy this game It is basically Scrabble but with numbers It doesn't have the feel of an "educational" game although it is a great way to practice basic math operations I think it would be enjoyed by kids in a wide range of ages; older students could enjoy making big long equations and racking up lots of points Also there isn't a great deal of advantage for adults as long as the kids have a good understanding of math operations It's always nice to find a game that different ages can enjoy togetherI also really like that you can customize the difficulty level (ie by taking out the multiplication and division tiles) In fact it was this game that introduced my son to fractions Initially I had taken out the fraction tiles to make it easier but he wanted to use them too so right then and there he learned the basics of adding and subtracting fractions Definitely a good buy for a homeschooling household
