I used this book with my two highschoolers one who is advanced in ability and one who has a learning disability It worked very well for both of them It is very comprehensive yet written in a very enjoyable easy-to-read style I would highly recommend also purchasing the teacher's ed tests and quizzes It was very easy to use and well worth the price

To have a general health course for high school. The text is good, however the chapter review exercises are positively uninspiring and exactly the same format for every chapter. Almost the equivalent of busy work. A bit disappointing. Wish there was more creativity in the review work. There are creative suggestions for projects, however for a half credit course I plan to only incorporate two to three of those throughout the semester.

We used the Total Health book for the middle school age and my girls really enjoyed it, so it was a no-brainer to get the high school book.

Does this text book contain an answer key?
A shopper on Jan 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The teacher's guide has an answer key to some of the questions. It was not as helpful of a teacher's guide as I would have liked.
Is this book hardcover or the paperback edition?
A shopper on Aug 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Paper back edition
Will students write in the Total Health high school textbook? If not, should we purchase a notebook separately?
A shopper on Jul 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My son did not write in the book. He wrote answers on the handouts that the teacher provided. If he had to answer questions from the book, he used a separate sheet of paper and kept it in his notebook.
Is this 2nd edition?
A shopper on Jun 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The copyright is 2005 and it does not specify the edition anywhere on the book (bought last summer of 2015)
