VERY disappointed with this product I took Spanish in high school and this is MUCH more difficult They throw way too much at the student and expect them to know full sentences way too soon It was a waste of my money :(

Do not make the mistake I did Alpha Omega publications says this is a high school level program although Rainbow Resources says it is the equivalent of college My 4 kids ages 15 15 15 and 13 had a difficult time with this-way to advanced for a 1st year student to Spanish The enormous amount of printing makes is very expensive to teach and very difficult to master if you do not print out all the massive amounts of vocabulary

after viewing the video my daughter chose this for her 9th grade elective.

We have used Spanish workbooks in the past which were pretty dry and lacked the benefit of hearing the words and lessons cohesively.

auditoryIs there a Spanish and English dictionary that is recommended? Also, Will the CD's be helpful with pronunciation of the word. We were leaning towards SOS just for hearing the spanish words but Lifepacs have a better review. Just wondering which curriculum would be better for a auditory learner, or are they both good?

BEST ANSWER: Content-wise, Lifepacs and SOS are the same. Both have the same auditory element - one through audio CDs and one through the computer. Both use the same textual content. Both have the same response-type of questions but the difference is completing a workbook or answering questions on the computer. The main difference between the two is that SOS provides grading and grade-tracking while with Lifepacs you and/or your student will have to do the grading.
Is this Latin American Spanish or Spanish from Spain?
