Wonderful Fun
We are very pleased with this math book. The comics are fun and informative, quite engaging for my son! He will bring the guide book just about everywhere with him, including reading it before bed.

Fun and interesting
I bought this as a supplement for my gifted third grader who wants extra challenges at home. He really enjoys it, and I like the creative thinking involved in the problems. Even his older brother, who is in 9th grade, has found it interesting and has done some of the problems with him.

Glad we made the switch
I'm so glad we took the placement test first and ordered the level "below" his current grade level. Switched from Teaching Textbooks 6 and this requires so much more actual thinking, and it's fairly entertaining. A month in and no arguing about math-
that's really saying something around here.

Such a fun way to learn math
My daughter carries this book around the house, to the car, inside stores, etc... She LOVES doing it, and spends at least an hour most days reading, re-reading, erasing answers so she can re-work the problems, printing additional sheets from the website (games!), and loves working on this with adults as well. (Most of whom are most impressed with this curriculum!) I'm so glad we've finally landed on an engaging, exciting, fun, and challenging maths curriculum. After a week of working in 3A, we ordered the rest of the third grade set!

Good fit for my daughter
My daughter hates math but loves the comic book format and the characters. Beast Academy does require a little supplementation since we have not studied any type of geometry. The material is given in small doses so she is usually not overwhelmed. The accompanying math practice book is a good match.

Great for kids needing math challenge
I like that this program makes kids think. It is not drill based but more like math puzzles. The comic book style is very friendly and easy for kids to enjoy. The monster characters are learning and you along with them.

Lots Of Love For Beast Academy
My daughter loves the comic book text book. She begs to read it and doesn't mind when we refer to the text book to double check her answers or remind her about whats going on. She adores the characters and laughs at the jokes. This is a fantastic math program that i know she is excited to stick with.

Answer to prayer!
This program is truly an answer to prayer. It has my 8 year old reading and explaining the math to his younger siblings. He is motivated and I always peeking ahead. The work is very challenging and I even have to look in the back for the answers for half of them. But we work through it together and really feel like we've had a mental workout! Also, the answers are really well explained in the back.

What a fantastic way to teach math! Written in a colorful comic strip style the Beast Academy gets and keeps kids attention from the start There are lots of good math "experiments " a wonderfully intuitive and logical progression of concepts and a hilarious cast of characters to really teach and reinforce math concepts We like that it doesn't just teach how things work but *why* it works and how students can apply the concepts elsewhere Fantastic books for kids who really want to understand the nuts and bolts of math!
