All three components of the Homeschool Kit come softbound. The Student Edition Text uses a two-color page layout, as opposed to the black and white pages of prior editions. Tests and Worksheets include a significant amount of fact drill practice, course tests, as well as various forms for recording student progress. Solutions Manual contains solutions to all problems in the text and tests.

Saxon Math came highly recommended by veteran home school parents. Other reviewers indicated the DIVE CD-ROM was a must. According to Shormann Math, this is where our advanced 6th grader should begin in order to progress into Shormann Pre-Algebra.

I chose this because my child used a spiral curriculum in public school so this will help continue that practice for one year before moving to a mastery program for the High School subjects. I also liked that it had a DVD for instruction to support independent learning.

Saxon Math has been a great fit for my kids. I also love the DIVE CDs--it adds another voice helping to teach concepts they might need help with. I also think the price is right for a math curriculum.

I choose Saxon Math 7/6 for our sixth grade math program because after 14 years of homeschooling, I have never come across another math program that is as thorough and gives a continual review of past lessons as well as Saxon. It is explained in a very understandable way, practiced and then reviewed. I also like the Dive CD because it gives us one class a day that my son is taught by someone other than myself. Also, sometimes the teacher's method is different than my own, which is beneficial.

finally
Hello everyone! This math set has been a blessing in our family so far! :-) My daughter is thriving in this series of math and loves math! We have tried online courses which have been unsuccessful. I can even teach it which was worrying me. We work together and she loves the timed drills and the warm up activities. Thank you Saxon!

It was recommended to us by experienced teacher/homeschooler and I have to say that it was worth it getting a CD on top of the books. Kids love it . We tried Singapore math but it didn't work out for us. This one is perfect

7/6 Dive CD-Roms
We love Saxon math. The Dive CD-Rom however is very dated (10 yrs) The CD does not allow you to download to your computer, it will only allow you to access information online.
It was a complete waste of money in our eyes not to mention very very dry and slow going.
