Master Books has such incredible science resources, but families choosing to use these books have historically either devised their own teacher material or used the publishers' free study guide if one was available. No more! They have now published Parent Lesson Planners (or "PLPs") for many of their resources including: Investigate the Possibilities Science, John Hudson Tiner's Exploring the History Of... series, Wonders of Creation series, and other stand-alone titles. These provide parents the framework and structure to use their resources for course credit. While the format varies a bit by PLP, most include a weekly lesson schedule (with 180 total lessons), student worksheets, quizzes, tests, and an answer key. Lesson schedules also include space to record dates and grades. For most courses, lessons will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Labs are occasionally recommended in the beginning of a PLP, but they are optional, not scheduled in. PLPs are reproducible for family or small group use (ten or less). These planners do a great job of turning their resources into a complete curriculum. Science PLPs are listed below with the resources they are designed to be used with. I was looking for a Christian worldview for a high school science class. This has DVDs which would help hold my kids' attention. It also does not require advanced math which many high school science classes require and I want them to have time to catch up on their math skills before they are expected to apply all of them.

There was a Sale at CBD but this product was cheaper here because I didn't have to pay shipping! I chose this product for my two high schoolers and one middle schooler for science for this year. I'm excited to try it out.

This is a terrific course! In addition to being loaded with information, the books have lots of amazing color photos that really bring draw you in to the content. The DVDs are also great because kids respond well to this type of teacher. I highly recommend it!

I homeschool thru a charter school which limits us to "nonsectarian" curriculum. Is there a high school set like this that would qualify?

Out of this world!
Okay, it isn't really, but you do get exactly what is described. The Teacher Guide is also called (in the schedule of reading) Lesson Planner. A tad confusing for a few minutes till we figured it out. Books are solid quality. Shipping is very quick. A good deal for this class. Can't speak to the content as we have just started, but after briefly paging through the books (ahhh! new books!) the content seems advanced enough for high school but not so advanced as to be out of reach for strong seventh or eighth graders.

Great course
Great course. My freshman is very excited to dive into it. We’re using it for a second semester of Astronomy this year and will leave out some material as he’s learning about the planets in an online class.

Clear Cut Self-Guided Study
My 11th grader enjoys this class very much. With little guidance she has navigated through this course with ease and enjoyment. The topics are presented in an easy to understand way. I highly recommend.

Love it!
The books are beautiful with colorful glossy pictures. I love the Parent book because it has daily assignments already listed and ready to check off. This is helpful in that my son knows exactly what to do each day and he can work independently. We haven't gotten to the videos yet, but we plan to watch them together as a family which I believe will help my son feel supported in this course as we can all discuss and share in his learning.
