We LOVE LOVE LOVE Making Math Meaningful My kids really enjoy the studies They are hands-on and fun to do not boring You can use what you have around the house and my kids think it is great to play with things that would not normally be considered "math tools" However I do suggest purchasing the manipulatives set for MMM Several lessons are a bit easier to complete using the manipulatives set I have two different style learners (kinesthetic and visual)and it works with both I also have one child who can not sit still very long but this math program holds his attention and is excited about it We started with level K We are now on Level 4 The teacher book is easy to use Over the last 4/5 years I can only think of a handful of times in which I had to prepare work ahead of time I have no doubt we will continue to use this series for future years

Our 8 year old daughter struggles with math She would do anything we asked but I found she wasn't able to do today what she had learned yesterday We have used ABeka Math U See and MCP Math All were a bust! Math U See helped me to understand math in a whole new way but all the quick tricks just confused her I was scared of a lot of negative reviews but ordered Making Math Meaningful and we have loved it!! We use a game called Math-It for memorization etc along with Math U See manipulatives and it is a winning combo!!

My 6 years olds are finishing up first grade math with Life of Fred and it's just not great for them. Too many words! :) I believe MMM will satisfy me in it's teaching/learning style plus give my kids more numbers and less words to handle

Because we are almost done with level 1.

This curriculum was recommended by a trusted friend several years ago. It wasn't a good fit for the child I originally intended it to be used, but my now 7-year-old loves it and is preparing to enter the next set. I believe it will be a great fit for the 6-year-old. So, we are trying the K level with her this year. It is SUPER easy to use and provides a thorough introduction to mathematical concepts.

While trying to incorporate Waldorf style teaching into my homeschool, i chose these books for their teaching style.
