Category Description for Key To Math (Gr. 4-12):

The Key To... series is a very self-instructional, unintimidating, programmed learning series. Covering seven basic topics, students can work through these horizontally or vertically. They are ideal for "homework" or a more topical approach to the subject. Presentation is done in a simple, friendly manner, incrementally, and with examples to follow as needed. Workbooks are thin and consumable. Answer keys are recommended. Order by the book or in sets.

We like this series because it encourages children to tackle these subject areas in as much depth as they can, rather than working strictly within the confines of an age-graded math program. Starting in 4th or 5th grade, I purchased a complete set of student workbooks for each child. Book 1 in each topic was put on the school book shelf. When Key to... was assigned, my children were free to work on whatever topic they chose, and they worked as much as they wanted. As soon as Book 1 in any subject was completed, it was replaced by Book 2. My oldest daughter sometimes got so involved that she just kept going!

I have the Key To Fractions series of books and they are great. They cover fraction concepts from a multitude of different angles so I assume the decimal books will do the same. I use these book as a supplement to our Montessori curriculum. If a child needs more practice or has trouble understanding the concepts using the Montessori presentations alone, I let them workout of these books to go more in depth. These were recommended to me by a Montessori teacher.

These books are clear and concise--my reluctant learners find them easy to complete because it is simple to learn the lesson and complete the exercises. They are also completely paper-based, which helps my screen addled kids concentrate. A winner!

Great to help struggling learners or fast learners. For struggling learners, this curriculum gives repetition and focus on single math concept of fractions, decimals or percentages without new things put into each days lesson. For fast learners it gives the basic concept and allows quick learning to advance to Algebra without spending a whole year in a math book.

Excellent, Easy To Use Instruction
I am a professional teacher and have used these booklets in my classroom to reteach concepts and for remedial tutoring. These booklets are easy to use, written clearly, and simply so that many students can do the booklets and check their work independently. Students love that they can write in the booklet and that the type is the real size of their own writing. Type font is clear, sharp and easy to read.
For a Homeschooling parent, these booklets are a treasure. They make the work easy with baby steps, plenty of practice and clear instructions. They are so inexpensive most families can afford them. Great product. Highly recommended.

We are in our second series of Key To books having used Fractions and now Decimals We will be moving on to Percents soon These books have been an answer to prayer for us My 8th grade daughter struggles with math as a serious right brain thinker These books break down the steps to learning in a unique and gentle way rewarding the learner with success - something we so needed! So thankful I tried them We will use them for Algebra as well I highly recommend them to anyone with a struggling math learner
