The drawings are stylized, even a bit cartoonish, which makes the student feel like they can do it too. If your religious convictions permit, you can read about Egyptian gods then draw your own family as Egyptian gods. Decorate a sarcophagus with stories that depict your own life, including animals that are sacred to you. Study a pyramid design, then recreate your own. What would you include inside? Cats, headgear, scarabs and of course, hieroglyphics! Create your own cartouche. I found the author's handwriting a bit tricky to read in a couple spots where a C looked like an L, but overall, it is a fun thing for kids to try and the book has nice quality-paper pages. Definitely not, however, a Christian or biblically grounded study. ~Sara
