Less than a whole curriculum, but with a mix of instructional information and activities. Items here tend to cover a range of grades all areas in science.
Reinforce, practice, or introduce science topics in the areas of earth, life, and physical science with this standards-aligned series. A variety of age-appropriate activities will engage children at each grade level, while reinforcing science skills and concepts. At the PK and K levels, children are taught using chants and rhymes that will stick with them as they learn things like colors, shapes, patterns, and sequences within the context of science. Exercises are read by the parent or teacher with the instruction included on the student pages and answer keys at the back of the book. Activities will get your child outside to look at their world. Grades 1-6 of the series are more independent and allow for amounts of reading that are appropriate to the grade level. Children will learn new vocabulary, tackle science reading comprehension, complete puzzles and exercises, and do hands-on activities like leaf rubbings in 1st grade to edible earth models in 6th. 144 pgs, pb. ~ Donna
