Description

These flashcards feature three decks of word family cards that are grouped by prefixes, root words, and suffixes to practice spelling and improve vocabulary. By grouping the words by a common feature, students often retain better with the built-in context. If you are learning Latin, these would be a fun addition although the suffixes actually include Latin, Old English, Greek and French. Front sides show a graphic, for example, the suffix card with -ence, -ency, action, state of, quality is from Latin and shows a cartoon Roman Gladiator. On the back, you see more words in the family: difference, confidence, urgency and agency. It is a good little set to have around as it suits a variety of ages and subject areas. 162 cards total, about 2" x 3.5" ~Sara
