The 100 Skills series extends classroom learning by breaking down skills into simple instructions and exercises, making it easy for children to practice at home. Each book prepares your child for higher-level thinking and analytical skills by strengthening understanding of foundational concepts.
This series provides a good option for extra practice, covering the essential skills students are expected to know at their grade level. A concept is introduced with simple directions followed by 2-3 pages of exercises with loads of colorful, visual appeal. The book is divided 50/50 math and ELA, breaking down into such specific skills such as addition to subtraction (from 1 digit in lower grades to 3 digit in grade 3), place value, measuring, etc., in Math, and in ELA, parts of speech, grammar, usage, mechanics, and spelling, etc. (level K largely emphasizes phonics). Since minimal instruction is included, this series is helpful for reinforcement and review. Answers are in the back. Not reproducible. 256 pp ~ Sara
