Category Description for Easy Foreign Language Crossword Puzzles

French and Spanish crossword puzzles start out with easy clues in English and you write the Fr/Sp translation into the puzzle. They get progressively more difficult and then switch over to the clues (as well as the answers) being in the target language. The puzzles test your knowledge in vocabulary, grammar, literature, history, politics and geography. I think students who have completely a year of a language could do well at these, but certainly 2nd and 3rd year students. The Japanese puzzles start out with the clues shown in Kana (Japanese characters) and you write the answers in English; then they switch and the clues are in English and answers are to be written in Kana. Each book has between 47 and 56 puzzles. 60-64pp, 6" x 9", sc. ~ Sara
