Description

Many of us grew up playing the classic game called Battleship, which was first released in 1931. What is different about this game is that it is “remade" entirely of wooden components! In this 2-player game of strategy, players each have their own board which is hidden from the other player on which they place six different battleships. Each of these boards have grids that cross-reference letters and numbers in order to identify the coordinates of these ships. On the shield between the players is also a two-sided grid that will be used to keep track of the guesses that each player makes regarding the coordinates of the other player's battleships. Taking turns, each player will ask the other whether one of their ships is located in a specific coordinate and pegs are used on the dividing grid by each player in order to keep track of their guesses. If a player correctly guesses another player's ship coordinate, that player will indicate either a hit or miss. Once a player has guessed all coordinates of another player's ship, that player will respond with “hit and sunk". Play continues until one player has sunk all of another player's ships to win the game.
