Too much and too little.
I considered this curriculum for Language Arts because we enjoy and benefit from the "Key to" math booklets by Steven Rasmussen et al. This series is not published by the same people, but I thought they might have a similar value... able to be done independently, one language arts idea or topic per booklet, bite-size assignments, etc. Alas, my Charlotte Mason leanings could not abide the contrived nature of the lessons or the poor quality of writing used in the exercises. Someone with a more traditional approach or concern that all common core topics be 'covered' may appreciate them. I certainly hope so, for I need to sell mine! I selected instead the Jump In! Writing curriculum, which I will divide into 3 years, grades 6-8.
