Product Description:

Using familiar tunes and repetition, Lori Morrison helps children easily master skip counting. Children will learn 2s to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," 3s to the tune of "Jingle Bells," 4s to "The Star Spangled Banner," "Yankee Doodle" accompanies 6s, "This Old Man" for 7s, "Hokey Pokey" for 8s, "I've Been Working on the Railroad" for 9s, and 12s are learned to the tune of "Hurrah for the Red, White, and Blue." Each track on the CD repeats two to four times, with two tracks for each song did I mention repetition? Lori suggests using these songs along with the "Math Wheel" (#2306) or the "Math Gear: Multiplication (#32098) to help students apply the songs to multiplication facts as well. She finds that her techniques are successful for struggling learners and better enable students to master long division, fractions, and factorizations.

Publisher Description:

"Access to the Answers" developed by a math tutor, is a multi-sensory, kinesthetic method of mastering the times tables from the 2s to the 12s. This delightful musical CD sets times tables to a familiar children's tunes at accelerating speeds. The method can be accompanied with rhythmic finger motions (described in cover). This pleasant, animated, yet artistically sound work is a highly effective tool and great fun. Mothers of young children and those with learning disabilities as well have seen great results.

This is replacing 2 others than I have lost throughout the years. I love this memory verse CD. The songs are all to tunes we already know so there are no new tunes to memorize, just the skip counting numbers. This works with 5 kids over the years.

My son is a lyrical learner as well as kinetic learning. This is great for him.

I have used it in the past and it has been an excellent help for learning times tables. I lost my last CD, so I am repurchasing it now.

Excellent
I can't recommend this enough for learning skip counting. They are all songs that we all already know so you dont have to struggle learning a new song, just new lyrics. I lost my first CD, so purchased another for my subsequent children to use.

After a lot of trial and error in research and buying other skip counting CDs I finally found a skip counting CD we all enjoy My kids are ages 3-9 and all enjoy the CD The songs are based on songs that we are all familiar with like "Jingle Bells" "I've been working on the railroad" etc but the lyrics have been changed to the skip counting The fact that the tunes are familiar is helpful in the memorization for my kids Another aspect I appreciated is that the lyrics are mostly the skip counting without extra lyrics that are not needed We focus on listening to the same song frequently before moving on to another song This helps them memorize the particular song easier
