Decorate the soda bottle to customize the feeder.Great family project, gifts for grandparents, project for garden clubs and scout troops. Access door on the bottom of the base allows for easy refills.Proudly MADE IN USA! Soda bottles and bird seed not included. Works with most soda bottle threading similar to Pepsi brand bottles.

We have several of these feeders from a bird fair we attended. They are so easy to clean, fill and keep up with. My neighbor asked where to get them so I bought a few as a gift for her. I'll send one to my grandson also so he and his dad can make a bird feeder!

Have used before and hard to find. Perfect for feeding the smaller birds which prefer wild seeds instead of sunflower seeds. Great re-use for 2 liter bottles too!

I remembered having these years ago and thought I would see if they still made them. Was pleasantly surprised to see they did. We enjoy bird watching and thought this would be an inexpensive way to add more feeders.

I saw them on pinterest. As I watch 2" to 3" of snow fall in Southern Georgia, and birds fighting for food in my single feeder, I realize these are a good way of providing more feeders at a decent price. I hope they work.

How many in a pkg?
Sandra A on Mar 9, 2021
BEST ANSWER: You receive one feeder set up per package. You need to provide the empty soda bottle.
Can it be used as a water feeder as well?
Deb on Jul 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Sorry no. No air pressure to prevent the bottle from emptying.
Does this feeder work for liquids, such as nectar for hummingbirds and orioles?
A shopper on May 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I have only used it for bird seed and it works great. However, I made one for my brother and he tried hummingbird food but it leaked.
Does the soda bottle kit used for humming birdsis the soda bottle feeder for humming birds?
Charlotte C on Aug 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This feeder is just for bird seed and will not attract hummingbirds. However, we do carry a Hummingbird Window Feeder that uses a water bottle. It works very well - we have two of them attached to office windows and get daily multiple humingbird visitations.

Does it work with wine bottles?
A shopper on Feb 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It needs to be a screw top bottle the same size as a 2 liter bottle
is the handle part of the kit? What type of seeds?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the handle is included in the kit. You can use a variety of seed types - choosing which to use will depend on what type of birds you wish to draw. Most seed packages will indicate what birds are attracted to the mix.

The feeder works very well. I'm very happy with it. I think I want to decorate the feeder to add a little charm to them. I painted them different colors now I want to find different small objects to glue on them or something in the nature theme to add to them. Also it would be good to add with the kit is some kind of ring to first tie on with a clip so you can take it down to refill easily.

Definitely well worth purchasing. Need a good bird identification book to go with it
I have two birdfeeders up now and im swimming in all kinds of species, very fun to watch! I bought one of these years ago, and looks like they've made a change for the worse however... The threads to hold on to the soda bottle are tiny in the and falls off so I had to drill a hole through it and put a screw in it... Make the threads bigger..!...

Squirrel -1- Birds -0-
I couldn’t outsmart a squirrel with this bird feeder. Less than 2 -3 days after I hung it up, a squirrel chewed on the plastic hanger and small hole where it attached to the bottle, knocking the bottle down. Then the squirrel chewed a 2” diameter hole in the bottle and feasted in all the seeds!
Do you sell this apparatus with a metal hanger?
