Category Description for Speedball Calligraphy Fountain Pens:

Calligraphy pens for the older student, these high-end starter tools are easy to use and provide a nice range of options. Unlike traditional calligraphy pens, these fountain pens are free-flowing, which means the artist does not have to dip the pen in an inkwell to use them. To change colors, simply unscrew the pen nib, press the ink cartridge in until it clicks, and screw the nib back into the pen body. The broad-edge style pen nibs are slightly rounded and inks are vibrant for a comfortable, pleasant calligraphy experience. - Janine

Dyslexic Handwriting Aid
My children love these! We designated them for handwriting practice although they get used for other areas also because they enjoy them so much. An annual test administrator suggested I have my oldest three tested for dyslexia but I haven’t... I saw a dyslexic - friendly curriculum that featured a bottom-heavy font so I wondered if a calligraphy pen would help. The prompt in purchasing these Speedball pens was that they found my quill & ink set that I used for our wedding before they were born. After a few weeks of continually attempting it with their schoolwork and asking for their own, I suggested we look for these. These are so much more user-friendly and less messy. We seem to somehow get a bit of ink on our fingers but I think it’s from changing colors and you’re supposed to complete each cartridge instead. It accomplished my goal of helping them with liking handwriting practice, so yes, I recommend them if you might have a similar goal. Take care and God bless!
