Electricity Task Card Lessons
36 hands-on activities allow students to observe and experiment with electricity, using simple objects. Students will create parallel and series circuits, predict electricity flow using Ohm's law, split water, build working galvanometers, resistors, fuses, electroscopes, storage cells, ammeters, and more!
Children experience science as real scientists - making observations, performing experiments, recording their results, and drawing conclusions. Step-by-step instructions are precise. If your child can follow directions, he can succeed with TOPS. Wonderful experiments teach advanced concepts without expensive lab equipment - only simple, on-hand materials are used (e.g., paper clips, rubber bands, aluminum foil, batteries, and refrigerator magnets). Teacher's notes contain background information and explain each concept and activity. They also include procedural "hints" for the activities - just in case you hit a snag. Each of these modules is a softbound book with reproducible activity pages. Approximately 20 lessons each.
