Whombatz Shield - Red
Even the most skilled fighter appreciates the value of a good shield. This 17 diameter shield weighs a bit over 2 lbs and will protect you from enemy attacks that manage to bypass your own blade.
The WhomBatz Shield is a favorite for WhomBatz players. The shield is soft and flexible allowing them to be used both defensively and offensively. The shield is easily strapped to either a player's right or left arm depending on preference.
WhomBatz uses only the highest quality materials in its manufacturing to ensure the greatest durability possible. With WhomBatz, you will finally experience swords and shields that don't rip, snap, or otherwise rapidly deteriorate with use.
Due to their light weight, soft foam, and sturdy construction, WhomBatz are ideal for rambunctious outdoor play, martial arts training, live action role play, or to accompany a dress-up costume.
Attention all young warriors this is your call to arms! These durable, padded foam weapons are perfect for indoor and outdoor battles. All weapons are lightweight, waterproof, and thickly padded (even the handgrips are padded so there are no hard areas on the weapons). Most are "swords" but all feature rounded "blades" designed to bounce and minimize injuries! Choose your weapon! The Avenger is a 36" long sword. The Bolt is a shorter, more versatile 24" sword. The Rift is a dangerous looking 20" long battle axe. At 17", the Thorn is the shortest sword, perfect for lightning quick dagger action or smaller children. The Torrent is the longest weapon, a double-sided staff measuring 48" long. Defend yourself from Whombatz attacks with the Shield which measures 17" in diameter, sporting fierce looking marks across the front and armbands to attach it to your arm, leaving your other hand free to fight! Defeat your opponents with a satisfying "WHOMP"! ~ Megan

The handles are a source of three separate problems. 1 - they are held on with metal bolts, which seems like a small safety issue, when the rest of the shield is foam.
2 - they are fixed at a single, small size. There is no way to adjust them for larger or smaller users. They are too big but OK for my kids. I, a smallish adult male, can barely fit my arm in them.
3 - they are for left hands only. Left-handers, who want their sword in their left hand and shield in right, could use them, but would have to hold the shield upside down.
