Description
Category Description for Daily Warm-Ups Language Skills

This series offers that little bit extra that may be needed to solidify language arts concepts - over 150 warm-ups per book that cover key skills. A one-page warm-up begins with a brief overview of a particular skill or concept and then gives an example, an activity to apply the concept, and a follow-up writing activity. The activities cover parts of speech, sentence structure, vocabulary, and mechanics at all levels. Usage is added for grades 3-6; using reference materials in grades 2, 5, and 6; and figurative language in grade 6.

The Table of Contents and Standards Correlation chart allow you to pinpoint specific skills on which you might want to work, or you can simply have students work through the book a page per day. The Standards Correlation chart found at the front of the book lists the skills a student should know at that particular grade level along with the page on which you can practice. A tracking sheet is provided which allows the parent or teacher to keep track of student scores. These pages are reproducible if you're working with multiple students in a classroom or family setting, and the answers are included.
