Category Description for Beaded Number Line

Beaded number lines are a sensory way for students to count and learn to think mathematically. The plastic beads alternate red and white in groups of 5. The grouping in 5s helps kids picture quantities (subitizing!) Choose a shorter string of 20 beads or a longer string of 100 beads. Each bead is 1cm. The string is sturdy like a round shoelace knotted at each end. A larger bead is included, but loose. ~Sara
