Their Lives & Your Life
I like the simple, pure, no-frills approach these devotionals; they get right to the heart of the matter. Following a one-year calendar, these one-page meditations on Scripture challenge children to see how God works in people's lives. You will study passages which highlight and explain God interacting with specific Biblical characters. As you follow each day, the devotional identifies both the focused individual and the Scripture passage to be read from your own Bible (typically 20 verses maximum). A brief explanation of this passage follows. Sometimes cultural or symbolic matters are explained; sometimes the text summarizes the Bible passage. Each page ends with a single, direct question. Sometimes these are opened ended and sometimes yes/no. This book is a translation of a series of devotionals originally written by Reformed Church ministers in the Netherlands. Equally usable for individual or family devotions. 5" x 8", 372 pp, sc. ~ Ruth
This daily devotional for children focuses on the lives of people found in the Bible. Over the course of a year, your children will survey Bible history in a way that is more than just gathering facts. Their souls will be challenged to see how God works in the lives of His people. May God use there short meditations on Scripture to work in the souls of our children, helping them see their need of Christ and preparing them for the day of His return.
