As you cover topics, check off the corresponding objective on the checklist, and whether the concept was merely studied or mastered. Items not covered in your regular curriculum should be studied using supplementary materials before the test is taken. Additional items included are evaluation sheets for Bible reading, character traits, spiritual fruits, social evaluation, work and study habits; glossary of common teaching terms; and Dolch sight words. This was money straight into the trash. I was looking for a guide to help me teach on each of my children's level. This is a book about how horrible state education is and how Christians should just use the Bible. Funny since Paul uses Greek logic in all of his writing.

This book was not what I expected it was better! Not only does it give you a checklist of the things to make sure your child knows but it also gives you a history of education It confirmed for me that I was doing what God wanted me to do - educating my children at home This book was such a blessing for me It has helped me to remember why I do what I do and why I will continue

Seeing where you have taught your children and what you have missed is easy with this fantastic book Any "gaps" will be apparent without putting undue pressure on youThere is a fantastic section in the front to help you teach better and easier- don't gloss over it just so you can get to the record keeping in the last half I have three children so keeping track of who knows what may get tricky as the years go on but not with this book One child or five it doesn't matter the point is you don't need to concern yourself When you cover it you can go back (or way back! or way ahead!) and check it off Sometimes you may not cover something until later than government school kids other times you may be way ahead This book is easy to use and with realistic expectations of homeschoolers and their children I give it 5 out of 5 stars
