This allows students to actually build models of numbers, giving them a real "feel" for base ten concepts. Not just for place value, interlocking blocks also can be used to model addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and percents. The Starter Set is blue and contains 100 unit cubes, 30 rods, 10 flats, 1 decimeter cube and a teacher's manual. The manual includes teaching ideas for several different math concepts. Individual pieces of the set can also be ordered seperately.
