Elementary Paleontology: Dinosaurs Curriculum Pack

Learn the history, excavation, and biblical evidence of dinosaurs in this one-year homeschool science course that is built around age-appropriate real books from a young earth creation perspective. Along the way, students discover dinosaur names, diets, discovery locations, as well as complete worksheets, paper activities and easy to do projects all designed to engage and reinforce learning. Included in the Package is the Teacher Guide and following books: Dinosaurs by Design, Dinosaurs for Kids, Dragons of the Deep, Great Alaskan Dinosaur Adventure and Dinosaurs of Eden.

The Teacher Guide provides the parent everything needed to successfully teach the course. Tips for grading, master materials list of easy to find items, suggested daily schedule, worksheets and quizzes, and answers are all included. Lessons are scheduled 5 days per week and will take about 30 minutes per day. Student Worksheets are reproducible for immediate family only. A sampling of projects includes hatching a dinosaur egg, making an accordion timeline, creating a Garden of Eden diorama, and much more.

Dinosaurs by Design covers how fossils are formed and the process of digging up and restoring dinosaur fossils. It also explores early fossil discoveries, types of dinosaurs, and the effects of the Flood and Ice Age.

Dinosaurs for Kids looks at the seven ages of dinosaurs: the Age of Formation (or Creation), Fearless Age when dinosaurs and humans/other animals lived without fear and violence, the Age of Sin and Death, the Flood Age, the Faded Age when our bodies give out and animals become extinct, Found Age when fossils were discovered and identified, and the Fiction Age or the Age of Evolution and ramifications of man choosing not to obey Dinosaurs of Eden God. Chapters are engagingly written so that middle school children can comprehend. Colorfully illustrated.

In the Great Alaskan Dinosaur Adventure, trek along with five men who braved the weather and wildlife in search of frozen, unfossilized dinosaur bones. Based on the journal of the trip leader, with additional detail provided by the other members of the team. Includes black and white illustrations/photographs. Filled with evidence of God’s mercy and care, this book would make a great family read-aloud!
