A chapter novel to help my child's imagination draw into the details of the particular happenings, which Martin Luther lived, or quite possibly could have lived.

This is one of the books we are reading to go along with Mystery of History 3.

Very interesting biography of Martin Luther that is much less dense than something like Here I Stand.

A fine introduction to Luther and the Reformation
I had heard this was the best book on Luther available for kids, and now I believe it. This is a concise narrative of his life, able to hold the attention of my reluctant 4th grade history student. Luther's stand against indulgences (and overreaching papal authority) and his refusal to alter his stand despite death threats from the Church provide dramatic interest, but abstract theological discussions are blessedly absent. This was a fine introduction to Luther and the Reformation.
