These DVDs are very good and entertaining. They are approximately an hour in length and are very worthwhile for science, history, unit studies, etc. Meet astronomer Galileo at the dawn of the 17th century on the verge of uncovering the biggest mysteries of the universe or Marie Curie during World War 1 and her new X-ray machine. Each program tells the story of that inventor being befriended by a child who helps him/her through some trial or complication in his/her life. DVDs contain several bonus features. The teacher's guide helps teachers create a creative curriculum based on the videos. ~ Phyllis
