Category Description for Living Geography

For families and teachers wanting more instruction and structure for Charlotte Mason’s Elementary Geography (#066878), homeschool mom Lisa Eveland had the same desire. Thus, the Living Geography Book 1 curriculum was developed. This curriculum includes a revised and expanded edition of the text. In addition to the Living Geography Book 1 text there are also additional electronic articles for older students to read that the publisher will provide access to upon purchase.

Additional convenient components to the text are the Teacher’s Notes, which are indispensable. Providing prep lists for activities, directions for each activity, questions to ask, check lists to organize your lesson, and areas to take notes—you will feel completely equipped to walk students, of any age, through Charlotte Mason’s geography course. The Maps and Pictures Book will provide a visual for certain lessons aiding in further comprehension. Includes global maps, continent maps, room layouts, and striking photographs from around the world. Students are equipped with a lesson outlined Geography Notebook to take down their own notes and drawings throughout the program, these are outlined in the Teacher’s Notes book. Finally, the Exam Questions & Answers book is a place to write down exam questions and document students’ answers to any exam questions given.

While these components are not necessary to complete or work through Elementary Geography or Living Geography Book 1, they are incredibly helpful in organizing and walking students and teachers through the course and facilitating getting the most out of Charlotte Mason’s geography text. ~Rebecca
