How can you get the other players to guess your word or phrase without talking, drawing, "charading," or likewise? Using picture clues and symbols! This unique game board contains 117 universal icons that you use to describe your word. A "main idea" marker goes next to the strongest picture, while supporting cubes can be placed on other icons. For example, for the simple word "tiger" you might put the main idea marker by the "animal" icon, and same-colored cubes by the colors orange and black. For more challenging ideas, markers and cubes of different colors can be used to form "sub-concepts." Thus, if your word is Eiffel Tower, you might put the main idea marker by the building icon with a supporting cube by the metal icon to convey a building made of metal. Then you could use a different colored marker on the world icon and the matching cubes by the colors blue, white, and red to denote a country associated with those colors. If these sound pretty easy, rest assured that the "hard" and "challenging" options will take some wits - just imagine trying to communicate a person, movie, or complete phrase using only icons! A quick preview of the rules reveals clever tricks to help you out and from there you are only limited by your own ideas. While not always fast-moving, there is something very satisfying about successfully setting up or guessing those challenging ideas! Includes 5 different colors of markers and cubes, 110 concept cards containing nine clues (easy, hard, and challenging), and victory point tokens. 4-12 players; 40 min.
