BEST ANSWER: No, this is not color by number and I wouldn't say its adult coloring book, either. I use these books in our homeschool. Each page has a coloring picture , along with information on about the picture. My daughter loves these books. Highly educational! Great for 8 and up depending on the subject. I also love all the detail. I also have bought some for my 6 year old and read them to her.
