I have read these stories with my kids and they show how the Lord worked in other peoples lives.

The Lord has been reminding me to focus more on His Word and character and the academics will follow. My child enjoyed Wisdom and the Millers so I feel these additions will be very beneficial.

I read these to my children when they were young. They were excellent books and now I want them for my grandchildren.

These stories are inspiring and awakening, and yet exciting and short enough to engage and capture the minds of children small and well along in years. ;-)

My mom read the Miller stories to my siblings and I when I was a kid. I am now a teacher at a christian school and was asked to read missionary stories to the kids. I remembered hearing these stories and enjoying them when I was young and I want to share them with the next generation.

My 5 year old son loved the stories in Proverbs with the Millers. We read through the book 4 times. It's time we moved on to the other Miller books.

I borrowed this from a friend, initially planning to read it myself, but my 8-year-old daughter found it first! She loved the stories in it, and it helped grow her appreciation for those called to the mission field.

Can the stories be read out of order?
A shopper on Jul 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they are unrelated. The beginning of the book is a nice fictional story of the Millers, and the children ask to hear more stories of missionaries. After that, each story stands alone and is a truthful account (with details added to make for a complete story.) They are wonderfully written; we shed tears many times. They are factual, and also touch the heart. Better than any other missionary stories we've read! Only a few pages for each missionary, and there are many included. My children loved them when they were around age 6, and we're reading them again now around age 11. I also very much enjoy them. I highly recommend this book!

I read this book to my children ages 6-11 this past summer for our morning devotions and they loved it and would always beg me to read one more chapter Each chapter is about a different missionary and how God was faithful in their lives Very well written and enjoyable

We purchased this book to supplement Galloping the Globe and found it mostly inappropriate for a kindergartener There is a lot of "dark" content where the missionaries are in danger Many of the stories are very suspenseful which is great for older kids but disturbing for a five year old I would recommend this book for 4th grade and up but not for the little ones
