Memoria Math Challenge: Level A Student Drills
One worksheet per day (for a school year) provides daily practice and repetition to master basic arithmetic skills. Level A focuses on writing numbers, counting, and addition and subtraction facts up to 7.
Our goal for math in the primary grades is the mastery of basic facts. One of the most effective ways to help students achieve mastery is simply to practice. With daily timed drills, Memoria Math Challenge is designed to give students that math practice and also to help the teacher measure students’ immediate recall. We start with addition, subtraction, and number dictation in kindergarten, and ramp up to 200 daily problems by the end of first grade. If students are able to master their math facts in the primary years, they can devote more time to complex math operations in grammar school and upper school.
Memoria Math Challenge: Level A focuses on writing numbers, counting, and addition and subtraction facts up to seven and is organized in an easy-to-use loose leaf format.
Aligned to Memoria Press’ math scope and sequence, these daily, timed drill books would complement any math program. One worksheet per day (for a school year) provides daily practice and repetition to master basic arithmetic skills. Beginning with basic skills from number dictation and writing numbers, students progress to completing 200 practice problems daily. Black and white student books offer math practice problems for each day, but no teaching information.
