Product Description:

Category Description for Learning Wrap-Ups:

A wonderful alternative to written drills for the kinesthetic child, but exciting for all children. Use these anywhere - no pencil or paper required! Buy 2 sets and have a "wrap-off"! How about a "relay-wrap" at your next support group meeting? As a plus, the left-to-right wrapping motion may reinforce the tracking skills vital to reading! Each set contains 10 boards (120 problems), colorful wrapping strings, and instructions. Wrap-Ups can be bought individually, or in an introductory 5-pack kit.

10 Days to Math Fact Mastery Teaching Guides are a great complement to the Learning Wrap-Ups. These reproducible books offer 32 pages of written practice and additional instruction for the fact families. There are 10 sections in each book, which provide step-by-step instructions for a 10-day learning program. A day-by-day list of materials is included at the front of the book with a short guide for the teacher. Using the Learning Wrap-Ups, students will fill in answers to problems that are displayed in a number of formats completing the problems, games, and circle or match the correct answer. Review pages are found throughout the books, and a final review wraps up the content of the book. Although these are written for the Learning Wrap-Ups manipulatives and instruction is provided for their use in each lesson, the books could also be used for written practice or review without them. They can be used as supplements to a text or as a mini-curriculum.

Student Workbooks for each set of facts are also available separately. These inexpensive, consumable student workbooks include 5-7 worksheet pages per day. Worksheets provide a variety of activities for the student to practice their facts including: drills, multiplication "tricks," story problems, and time goals to meet for completing the Wrap-Ups. 62 pages, non-reproducible.

I used Math Wrap-ups with my sons when we home schooled. Now I want to use them with our grandsons. Wrap-ups are an excellent resource for learning math facts. My son remembered using them and said they helped him so much with memorization of math facts. He asked, "Do they still make them?" We had shared our original set with another home schooling family. Now, we will use this set with our grandchildren.

I used these 20 years ago while homeschooling my children. My kids loved them and raced each other!<br /><br />Now the are so handy with "distance learning". I just wish they were still individual - for young children's small hands, it is to much to maneuver :(

What is included in this set?
L T on Aug 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Adding more details for the fractions wrap-up since it includes so many different fraction skills. It includes matching fractions to their shaded pictures, matching equivalent fraction pictures (1/2 = 2/4, etc.), matching equivalent fractions in numbers, naming fractions of a set (3 of 5 = 3/5), adding fractions with like denominators (1/3 + 1/3, etc.) subtracting fractions with like denominators (7/8 - 5/8) and matching fractions to decimal equivalents (7/10 = 0/7).
Does the kit come with 50 total boards (10 bd per set)?
A shopper on Jun 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The addition has a +1 board, a +2 biard, a +3 board...all the way to +10. Subtraction, multiplication and division are the same way. The fraction wraps are a little different but still have 10 boards.

Just as Expected
Got these to give my 8 and 6 year olds some extra practice with math facts. They've been great so far! Other than the temptation to "cheat" and look at the back for the answer, both kids do them without too much complaint. They seem sturdy and well put together. My kids aren't very hard on their belongings, so I expect to be using these for quite some time.

Wrap ups math kit
My 5 yr old grandson loves the wrap ups. I had some for my son and daughter when they were young and the wrap ups are better now than they were then because they include fractions. I would recommend wrap ups to everyone...they make math fun. I would like to try some of the other subjects that wrap ups does.

Great find! Something for kids to do that doesn't involve a screen
I love THEM! Still have something like these that I bought many years ago from Discovery Toys for my kids. Kept them busy in the car when smart phones and tablets didn't exist. The improvement from the older version is that all of the boards are clipped together and only 1 string per set vs 1 string per board. Things got a little tangled then.

Fun, creative way to drill math facts
I bought these for my 1st grader who needs practice with her math facts. As soon as she started using them, my kindergartner begged to use them too. Now they are both learning and having fun together.

Finally my 1st grader is learning her math facts!
A friend of mine recommended these to me when I told her my first grader wasn’t catching on to her math facts quickly. She was still counting to add or subtract each number. She actually does these wraps without complaint and it’s a great way to master one new number at a time which is what I had been looking for. Thank you!

Great learning tools & non-electronic fun!
We love these math wrap-ups! We had them for our children & now have the entire set for our grandchildren. All three generations are having fun together with them. Wow! It has been a long time since I have subtracted fractions, but these wraps are a great way to get rid of those cobwebs.

Just a note - There is an error on the fourth key in the fractions bundle. 5/6 = 10/12, but the key says "0/12", not "10/12". Oops!
