We have a new reader developing in our family, my grandson. This book looks readable for him - on his own - but more than that it looks interesting and as if it will present a story with high moral value.

My 6 & 8 year olds have enjoyed other Clyde Robert Bulla stories and my 8-year-old is very interested in knives and carving right now. This looked like a story that would engage his interest and be easy enough for him to read confidently on his own while we're working to build fluency. Recommended by Sonlight
