Everyone plays at once in this fast-paced card game, moving cards to the communal colored piles in the center, as they compete to be the first to use all of the cards in their "wood" pile. The first player to eliminate their woodpile and yells "Dutch Blitz!" wins the game. Easy to learn, fun to play, and contagious, this has been one of our favorite games to play at home and on the go. For 2-4 players. For bigger families or more friends, you can now add the Expansion pack - and four more players! Almost identical to the original game, the rustic illustrations on the card backs are in different colors than the original, allowing another four players to play and identify their cards for scoring in the end.

It's addictive!!

Our favorite family card game
Dutch Blitz is our family's favorite card game. It's like combining the card games of solitaire and speed at the same time. The games are fast so you even if you just have 15 minutes to play a game with your family or friends, you can play a few rounds of Dutch Blitz.

So much fun!
This was an impulse buy at homeschool convention several months ago & we just opened it a few nights ago. We have played it every night, and our 9-year-old has asked to play it each night. The rules seemed overwhelming when we first read them, but after playing one round, it was really easy. I already ordered the expansion pack, along with a couple to gift to others.

Dutch blitz has been one of our favorite games for going on 30 years. I have had to purchase about four sets because we wear out the cards. It is a great way to start your school day if you school at home because it gets the brain working and is fast paced.
