This series is a bit easy, but it goes well with my preferred teaching style. Each day has a basic structure of what we'll learn about (the sun, water cycles, the anatomy of a tree, etc), and from there I can customize it with experiments and other material for my kids.

BEST ANSWER: If you need structure, the teacher’s guide paces the book, gives you prompts to talk about with your child each day, and keeps you focused on the key ideas. It’s not absolutely necessary, but can be helpful if you are trying to make the book last the entire 34-36 weeks. The book is fairly simple and straightforward! You and your child could complete this like a workbook if you wanted to! It just depends on your child’s learning style and your educational philosophy.
