Excellent, and easy!
My 8yr old loves this curriculum. She begs to do it early in the day because it's one of her favorite subjects. I was afraid the songs would be too young for her taste, but she loves them. They are catchy and stick in your head. When you can't remember a word it's quite easy to recall the song and figure it out. The course is easy to teach with the DVDs and CD even if you have no Latin experience (I do not). We will continue with this Latin curriculum. I recommend the deluxe set with the cards, DVDs, CD, and books. They all tie together nicely and are all useful.

Fun way of learning Latin
My son enjoys this program because it has fun songs and short chapters. I think it's the perfect introduction to this classical language.

Love this gentle approach to Latin.
Save your money and skip the teacher book. It is not helpful.

Really fun!!!
This has been a really fun course! A friend and I swap subjects. I teach this to her kids and mine one day a week. We get together to watch the DVD sing the songs and do the matching game. Then the kids do their own work books throughout the week. It has been so fun and we enjoy working at our own pace.

good
I like this curriculum. It moves very slowly. The story that goes along with it is entertaining to my children who are K and 2.

Quite Good
This is a fairly rigorous curriculum. We use the same level to teach Kindergarten and 1st Grade. It is somewhat difficult to do all the activities for Kindergartners and the video is somewhat over their heads, but they thoroughly enjoy learning the material. I look forward to seeing how this helps support our kids going into Latin in the older grades.

It looks like a fun introduction to Latin that I can easily use as someone with no previous Latin experience.

This is the only Latin option that I've found for our kindergartener and I've heard it's fun for the littles.

We are beginning Latin as part of our classical style homeschool education. This was chosen after researching online the different elementary level latin programs. I liked that this one had a cd and dvd to go with it, as I do not have any previous latin knowledge to build from.

This product lines up with Classical Conversations Latin and ultimately prepares the kids for the Challenge Latin. All the moms I've spoken with have said that it's fun, engaging, and that their children have loved it.

I wanted a less academic way to introduce my son to Latin. The other options are too workbook-y for his style of learning.

fun and mostly auditory latin program for young children (i worry a written program would confuse letter sounds for early readers)

Song School Latin is a fun, engaging way to introduce young children to the study of Latin. We have used just the student book and CD in the past and now I'm excited to use the full DVD package with my younger children as they are introduced to Latin this year.

A friend had recommended this program. We are loving it. Easy to follow and use. My 7 and 8 year old boys love this program, and my 3 year old is learning the songs too! We enjoy the lessons, songs and games.

A friend recommended it. After leafing through it, I felt it was user friendly, simple, and appealing for young folks, while giving a good start to understanding Latin. I appreciate that it goes over both classical and ecclesiastical pronunciation. Also, the author presents a gentle approach in the DVD (from a cursory peek at it). And topping it off, the package comes with a flash card game! :)

How many days/week do you teach this, and how long does it take each time?
A shopper on Feb 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Twice a week, 30-45 minutes for each session. We watch the video, sing the songs, and complete half the workbook during each session. Also, we listen to the song cd in the car while driving around town. My kids (age 8 and 5) enjoy this course; we have completed Song School Latin 1 and are half way through course 2.
