We've done AoPS Pre-Algebra this year with success. Next year we are moving to their Into to Algebra, which they recommend taking 1-1/2 years to do punctuated by either Intro to Number Theory OR Intro to Counting and Probability for a semester (we chose the latter).

My son has completed Algebra I, but as a rising 7th grader, I wanted him to have a gap before moving on to the logic and proofs of Geometry. Art of Problem Solving is the only publisher that is producing math content which is truly rigorous and thought-provoking, most of the rest is over-simplified.

My son did AOPS Prealgebra as a 6th grader and we loved the concept of the program. It was a thorogh and challenging program. We plan on doing AOPS math until he graduates high school.
