Description
Detectives are on a search for Moriarty, a dangerous criminal who is on the loose and must be brought out of hiding. One player must choose to play the role of Moriarty, while the others select a detective role. It is recommended that the most experienced player should play Moriarty. If there are only two players playing, one player is Moriarty and the other plays two detective roles (ideally Sherlock and Watson). Moriarty must make invisible moves on the board, while the detectives try to guess his location by going to the suspected location on the board. The assigned Moriarty even gets to wear a visor during the game to protect his/her eyes from giving away their location to the detectives. There are three different modes of transportation available on the board and players must pay tickets for the appropriate transport if they want to move on the board. Modes of transportation include carriage, tram, or underground. There are colored trails on the map to depict which mode of transportation each route requires. Detectives can see which tickets Moriarty plays, but he does not have a pawn on the board like the others do. If Moriarty is found, the detective who discovered him is triumphant; however, if Moriarty either evades the detectives till the 22nd round, remains hidden until the 16th round, or plays 3 criminal cards, he is the winner! For 2-6 players, with 45-60 minutes of playing time.
