Description
Category Description for Wildlife Of America Coloring Books

These are perfect if you want to learn a bit more about the wildlife of a specific area of the U.S, including mammals, reptiles and birds. Each one is over 50 pages long and features a variety of creatures common to a geographic area of the U.S. My sample is for the Midwest, and it includes the opossum, red-headed woodpecker, deer mouse, painted turtle, wood duck, red fox, short-tailed shrew, woodchuck, Eastern cottontail, badger, marsh hawk, raccoon, and ten more animals. Each animal is featured on a two-page spread that includes a full-page outline drawing of the animal to color on the right and information about the animal on the left-hand page. The facts include common and scientific name, range, habitat, size, diet, coloring suggestions, tracks, and additional interesting information. The blackline drawings are fairly detailed, but large enough that young children can color them without difficulty. - Jess
