I have taught this course for a homeschool support group in the past. It is an excellent approach for preparing students to understand the basics of psychology through the filter of God's word. I will be teaching this course at a high school this time and am excited to see the students grow through this process.

There are not many psychology books at the high school level and even fewer with a Christian world view.

The topics listed for this course in the product description make it seem more interesting than the Understanding Psychology course, but Megan's description of the Understanding Psychology course states that it is understandable and interesting. So which one would you recommend?

Psychology: A Christian Perspective Set
Psychology: A Christian Perspective Set
BEST ANSWER: I chose Understanding Psychology to use. I thought about using A Christian Perspective, but decided to use the other because the student would be going off to college, and would be exposed to topics from a non-Christian perspective. I wanted her to understand the concepts from within a Christian environment even though the topics would not necessarily be presented from that perspective. It was a good book, and I would recommend it.
Would this course prepare a student to take the college-by-exam CLEP?

is this book consider a full credit?
A shopper on Jan 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Most would consider this course to be one-half credit (as high school psychology typically is).
